In the first scene there is a conversation between Liam and Ethan, in this scene this is where we done the shot reverse shot. By using it along with an over the shoulder shot we planned to make it seem like the viewer was intruding on the conversation between the two people.
In the second scene we are shown Alex who begins the scene by walking up the stairs. we used a high angle and a long shot to introduce Alex to show the foreshadowing of his ultimate fate in the scene, furthermore, we show Ethan with a low angle to show the power he has over Alex in the situation. We done the match action shot in this scene by showing Alex walking through a door and Ethan giving chase. This was an issue we encountered as how we recorded the scene made it hard for us to make the match action shot, however, I managed to get right in the end by editing it. We used a medium shot for Alex walking through the door to show more of his body language and with the purpose of showing Ethan in the background. Throughout this scene we made sure to follow the 180 degree rule as this was important on keeping the recordings looking as smooth as possible. We showed the conversation between Alex and someone on the phone to show that he was completely unaware of danger to begin with before being subdued by Ethan to transition to the next scene.
In the final scene we made the whole scene a POV shot from Alex's perspective, the camera was moving back and forth and with a fading in and out of consciousness on purpose to show that he was only just awakening. As he slowly moves his view upwards he sees Liam and Ethan before him and wondering why he was there to begin with, where Liam replies before fading to white.
